Martello Tower

This tower was built by Sir Martin in the year 1856 so as to protect the British Empire from the hands of Santhal warriors. From the top of the tower one can get a glimpse of Jangipuru and Rajmahal hills.

Birkitti Fort

During the 18th century Nabab Murshid Kuli of Murshidabad and Raja Udit Narayan Singh had fought a battle. The ruins of the Birkitti Fort are still a testimony to the battle that was fought between the two kings. It is located at a distance of about 10 km from Maheshpur Block Headquarter.
